The Honolulu Museum of Art wants to show its appreciation for the Honolulu community with extended weekend hours, live music, interactive art experiences, and more. The museum will have everything from food to DJs on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays to ensure fun for the whole family.

HoMA has seen a 50% increase in visitors since Hawaii began to reopen, and it wants to share the aloha with guests by extending its hours during the weekend. Its goal is to allow visitors and kama’āina alike to experience the museum’s art while celebrating the weekend.
On Friday nights, the museum turns into the perfect hang-out spot with live music from Hawaii’s best up-and-coming artists. On Saturdays, turn up the tunes with DJ Aloha Got Soul, who performs a weekly set from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy the music with bites and drinks from the HoMA Cafe.
In addition, HoMA’s “Joyful Return” pop-up installations will run all year from 4 to 7 p.m. along with activities like flag making, learning about indigenous plants and yarn bombing. Art lovers can participate in an art workshop in the museum’s gift shop and take an art class in the courtyard.
