Spend Valentine’s Day at home and make chocolate dipped strawberries

Give your valentine something sweet and made with love!

When it comes to celebrating the ones you love on Valentine’s Day, it’s the handmade gifts that always mean the most. So if you’re looking for a simple, tasty gift you can make at home for that special someone, all you need are some strawberries and chocolate! HI Now hosts Kanoe Gibson and Kainoa Carlson are showing you just how easy it is to make chocolate dipped strawberries.

Chocolate dipped strawberries are a great gift because they are so customizable. Whether you dip them in dark, milk, or white chocolate, you can get as creative as you want! The hosts are dipping strawberries in dark chocolate and drizzling some white chocolate as decoration, but you can use whatever your loved one enjoys best.

Instead of drizzling with more chocolate, you can even dip the chocolate covered strawberry in nuts or add sprinkles! You can even dip bananas in chocolate to make chocolate covered strawberry and banana kebabs — perfect for a fruit bouquet! The options really are endless when it comes to chocolate dipped fruit. Just be sure to place each dipped fruit onto a tray lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup!

If you’re using chocolate chips, remember to microwave them in 30 second increments in the microwave. After the first 30 seconds, remove the bowl and give the chocolate a stir, then put it back in for another 30 seconds. Do this until you get your desired consistency for dipping. Be sure to work quickly, or the chocolate will start to stiffen up!

After you’re done dipping and decorating, place your tray of strawberries in the fridge to let the chocolate harden up. Then share and enjoy!
