Kanoe & Jobeth share their goals for 2019
We’re two weeks into the new year, and if you haven’t set your goals for 2019 yet, it’s still a good time to do so. One new way of goal setting is picking up steam– vision boards! In fact, January 12 is National Vision Board Day. Hawaii Now hosts Kanoe Gibson and Jobeth Devera took time out of their busy schedules to set their sights on what they wanted to see happen in 2019.
Vision boards are a display of images, pictures, affirmations, words, or anything that represent a person’s dreams or goals. They are usually arranged in a collage like fashion a poster board and are meant to be a great tool to help clarify, concentrate or maintain focus on specific goals in life. It’s said that the idea of vision boards was created in 2010 as a way for friends to get together in a fun environment to set goals and encourage each other. Seeing their hopes and dreams helps set in motion these visions to become a reality. Photos can be cut out of magazines, printed off the Internet, or even from your personal stash at home. The sky is the limit.
Digital vision boards are another option for those who aren’t as crafty. Digital photos can be arranged within mobile apps or online collage sites and printed out. Smaller vision boards can be broken down into categories such as health and wellness, home, finances, etc. and printed out. You can even use them as dividers in a planner or journal.
So get together with your friends, your family or even your co-workers and host a vision board party! Set goals together for this year and put them where you can see them.
