Secure almost anything

When it comes to a severe weather situation, it’s important to have an emergency kit ready with all the essentials to keep you and your family safe. One tool you might want to add? The Simple Strap. HI Now host Jobeth Devera is with Benjamin Komer to talk about the self-gripping strap that makes it fast and easy to secure pretty much anything.

When it comes to securing loose items around your home ahead of a storm, you don’t want to find yourself fumbling around with knots or hooks. With Simple Strap, you can quickly and securely fasten, strap and tie-down just about anything. It is strong, works when wet, and is easy to use as an alternative to rope, bungee cords and nylon straps.

Simple Strap stays strong in harsh environments like the ocean, snow, or hurricanes. It’s also easy reusable and easy to remove! At 800 psi for Regular Duty and 1,000 psi for Heavy Duty, it can handle the widest range of the toughest jobs. There’s no need to tie knots with Simple Strap, and unlike bungee cords or nylon straps, there’s no need for hooks or ratchet systems to secure or tighten the strap.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Cut Simple Strap to desired length
  2. Wrap the strap around one end of itself to start. Then wrap tightly several times around items (more wraps results in a more secure bind)
  3. Tuck the remaining end through the last wrap to secure and test bind by pulling (straps are self gripping, no need to tie knots)

Not only is Simple Strap good to have in an emergency situation, but it’s also handy to have around the house. Secure pop-up tents, use it during home construction, or bundle lumber, rebar, or pipes. You can even use it while camping or while you’re boating or fishing.

Simple Strap is available in two sizes: 2mm Regular Duty and 3mm Heavy Duty. Each is sold in lengths of 20 feet and is easily cut to any size required.
