Raising awareness about the fight against Alzheimer’s and dementia

Walk To End Alzheimer's

For those people living with Alzheimer’s and those who care for them, every day can be a struggle. Dementia patients often need help handling basic activities, such as bathing, dressing and eating. The Longest Day, which happened on the summer solstice (June 21, 2018), is a one-day event to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s and its effects on families. That day, The Plaza Assisted Living held its first Annual Hali’a Memory Care Conference and raised nearly $5,000. Next month, is the first of five walks planned on the neighbor islands.
