Kamehameha Schools helps jumpstart early learning program
The Kohala Elementary early learning program opened in 2017 in partnership with the Hawaii State Department of Education and Kamehameha Schools. A community investment grant provided the seed funding for the pre-kindergarten program, free of charge to families living in the remote area on the Big Island. Kohala Elementary was one of five new DOE sites selected for public funding last year. Host Jobeth Devera shows us how this Pre-K program is getting our keiki off to the right start.
