Pan Pacific Festival
Thousands of spectators are expected to hit the streets of Waikiki for the 39th annual Pan Pacific Festival set for June 8-10. The three-day celebration of cultures from across the Pacific Rim will include live entertainment, ono grinds, and a parade down Kalakaua Avenue. This year’s festival will also commemorate Gannenmono, which celebrates the 150th anniversary of the first arrival of Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. Our host Jobeth Devera sat down with the event chair to find out more.
