He currently provides background checks for those seeking military security clearance. In his experience working cases, one of his biggest takeaways is that attitude truly is everything.
“In my background with law enforcement and investigations, often you come up with a case where your first impression is that you can’t figure out what went on here, you can’t figure out who did it,” he said. “If you put your mind to it and you challenge the situation, you can do just about anything. If you don’t have a good attitude, it’s going to rub off onto everything that you do.”
Yasuhara has also dedicated his life to public service. He believes that, if one does not reach out to their community, they will begin to center themselves in everything they do.
“Community service reminds me that it’s not all about me,” he said. “I need to give back to the community in which I live and work and enjoy surviving.”
