Key partnership provides hot showers for Puna residents displaced by lava

PAR Hawaii-Project Vision

Par Hawaii and Project Vision Hawaii are partnering to help bring relief to Puna residents displaced by the ongoing Kīlauea Volcano eruptions. In an effort to support its mission of providing the state with access to better health, Project Vision deployed its mobile hygiene unit to Hawaii Island to provide the hard-hit community with hot showers. The fuel is supplied by Par Hawaii. So far, Project Vision has raised nearly $75,000 and has purchased the first of three trailers offering showers and restrooms. The other units the organization is fundraising for will remain on Hawaii Island to support ongoing and future disaster relief efforts.
