Kaua’i Made makes it easy To support local businesses

HI Now Host Kainoa Carlson and Kaua'i Made Coordinator Melissia Sugai chat about all the incredible products made on Kaua'i.

Sponsored by Kaua’i Made

Kaua’i Made is an initiative that was created by the Kaua’i Office of Economic Development in 2005 to showcase the variety of local goods the garden isle produces. In order for a business to register their product through Kaua’i Made, they must themselves be a resident of and source most or all of their materials from the island.

Sugai shows off products from Mailelani’s, which is famous for its manapua bag; Hanalei Spirits, a brand-new company that offers vodka, rum, and more; and RKL Ranch, known for its locally sourced beef chips. Salty Wahine Gourmet spices and Heavenly Hakus’ haku lei are also sponsored by Kaua’i Made.

To support locally owned businesses, look for the purple Kaua’i Made logo on the products you buy.
