If you’re looking to get your boba or coffee fix, you won’t only find Teapresso Bar on Oahu! Teapresso Bar is also located in Hilo and is the only place on Hawaii Island where you can get fresh, brewed to order boba drinks.

Managing Member and Executive Administrator Rian Lau says the Hilo community has welcomed Teapresso Bar with open arms.

“Our goal was to bring something to Hilo that, at that time, was only available in Honolulu.” Lau explains. “Our primary goal in the look and feel of this place was to get a wow factor.”

The store features a mural created by a local artist and former barista, themed with things unique to Hilo and the Big Island, and hula plays a major role in the mural. Many of the baristas that work there are former halau members, and the mural serves to honor dancers and Hilo’s role in hula. It’s the perfect backdrop for your next Instagram photo!

While the average Teapresso Bar team is made up of 10-12 baristas, you’ll find 26 on the Hilo staff. This enables your drink to be ready within minutes! During peak season while school is in session, the store has served up to 100 drinks in an hour. The team in Hilo believes no one serves more boba in the state.

About Teapresso Bar:

Teapresso Bar was founded in 2014 by Steve Nguyen who had a vision of bringing healthier drink alternatives to Hawaii. The first location opened on Bishop Street in downtown Honolulu and has since succeeded in positioning itself as a healthier alternative in the coffee and boba milk tea market. Also, in collaboration with ABC Stores, Teapresso drinks are served in ABC Stores on Oahu, Maui, Big Island and Kauai.
