HI Now hosts take on the Supsquatch with Let’s Surf HI

Taking stand up paddling to the next level!

Sponsored by Cutter Ford

This summer, experience an ocean activity like no other with friends and family by taking on the Supsquatch with Let’s Surf HI! HI Now hosts Kanoe Gibson and Kainoa Carlson are on Oahu’s Leeward Side taking the over-sized inflatable stand up paddle board for a spin!

Supsquatch surfing is a sport that was created by Makaha waterman Brian Keaulana. Multiple riders must paddle simultaneously to catch waves on this 17 foot inflatable board. Once on a wave, it’s just like surfing, and riders are able to stand up and ride the surf!

Owned and operated by some of the finest watermen and waterwomen the west side has to offer, Let’s Surf HI teaches surf, stand up paddle board, and supsquatch lessons for kids and adults! The instructors hope to spread the love and knowledge of the ocean through their teachings of surfing, which enables them to perpetuate the Hawaiian heritage.

Once you get to Eisenhower Beach in Kapolei, you’ll get to meet and check in with the Let’s Surf HI team. Reef shoes are provided for use during each activity. If you’re taking on the supsquatch, you’ll be joined by two instructions — one lead paddler and one steersman. You’ll get a quick how-to and a safety briefing, then you’l be ready to hit the surf!

Now’s your chance to get an Exclusive supsquatch session for you and your friends and family on one board at a special group rate! Just mention HI Now and get an additional 10 percent off! Lessons are one hour long and begin at 8 a.m., 9:30 a.m., and 11 a.m. with a minimum of two participants.
