Hawaii Food & Wine Festival hosts virtual mocktails event Nov. 5

Learn from the master mixologists!

Sponsored by Cutter Ford

Hawaii Food & Wine Festival is hosting their first-ever mocktails event! They are partnering with DTRIC Insurance to reimagine DTRIC’s annual Hawai’i’s Best Mocktails event as a virtual experience on November 5 via Zoom. Kyle Reutner is one of the featured mixologists and is giving a sneak peek of his mocktail.

The event will be drinks-centric and everyone can participate — expecting moms, younger kids, designated drivers, and more! Four of Honolulu’s best cocktail artists will be teaching you how to mix up delicious, alcohol-free cocktails.

And there’s food, too! Chef Jon Matsubara of FEAST will be teaching everyone at home how he prepares his famous Feast Lobster Roll and Birria Quesadilla — all the foodie faves right now — which will be the perfect complements to the mocktails. The all-inclusive Mixology & Meal Kits will have everything you need to follow along at home. They are available for purchase from hawaiifoodandwinefestival.com.

Most importantly, this year’s event will also serve as a fundraiser to benefit the Kokua Ag & Culinary Fund, which will help to support the state’s agricultural, culinary and hospitality industries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. With the bars still shut down, and restaurants fighting for survival, it is important to Hawai’i Food & Wine Festival and DTRIC Insurance to continue to provide relief to those business owners and industries that are highly affected.

Get your tickets at the festival’s website hawaiifoodandwinefestival.com, and sign up for a time to pick up your complete Mocktail & Meal kit from FEAST Restaurant. It comes with all the ingredients that you’ll need to mix along with the other mixologists, and cook along with Chef Jon!

For those not on Oahu who still want to follow along at home, there are even tickets available for $25. These ticket holders will receive an ingredient list in advance so they may purchase anything needed ahead of the class.
