Hawaii is welcoming its first Guitar Center! The world’s largest musical instrument retailer will celebrate the opening of its first Hawaii store in the Pearl Highlands Center with a weekend of festivities starting Friday, May 10, 2019 from 4 – 9 p.m. HI Now host Jobeth Devera is in Pearl City checking out the brand new location.
Guitar Center Pearl City is a destination music store featuring over 19,000 square feet of guitars, drums, keys, live sound, DJ and recording. The store features a wide array of gear to help musicians find their sound – whatever their skill level or preferred price point and wherever they are on their musical journey. In addition to carrying the latest products, the new store will also feature a hands-on electronic music experience, rentals, repairs and a contemporary lessons academy that’s well-suited for today’s musician. Guitar Center is also the first music retailer to recycle instrument strings in Hawaii.
The festivities will include live entertainment by award-winning and Grammy-nominated local musicians such as AnuHea, Kahu Kawika Kahiapo and Josh Tatofi, and will also include raffle prizes and a store tour. The Pearl City High School Band Ensemble will also perform and receive a grant of wind instruments including flutes, trumpets, trombones and saxophones, donated by the Guitar City Music Foundation.
