Get your thrills over a thousand feet up with attractions at The STRAT

Sponsored by Vacations Hawaii and the California Hotel and Casino

HI Now hosts Jobeth Devera and Kanoe Gibson are taking their adrenaline rush to the next level… literally! Las Vegas Week continues on the Strip with thrill rides at The SkyPod, a rooftop carnival located 1,149 feet high atop The STRAT.

Strap into Big Shot, The STRAT’s most popular thrill ride, and prepare to be shot 160 feet in the air at 45 miles per hour as you overlook the majestic Las Vegas Valley. In a matter of seconds, riders are catapulted from the 921-foot high platform up the Tower’s mast to a height of 1,081 feet and down again. Before you catch your breath, you’ll be shot back up again at forces unmatched by other Vegas thrill parks! Experience a gut-wrenching four ‘G’s of force on the way up, and feel negative ‘G’s on the way down as your legs dangle in the Las Vegas skyline.

Next up: Insanity! A massive mechanical arm extending 64 feet out over the edge of the Stratosphere Tower at a height of over 900 feet, this ride will spin passengers in the open air at speeds of up to three ‘G’s. You’ll be propelled up to an angle of 70 degrees, which will tilt your body straight down!

Finally, experience X-Scream, a giant teeter-totter, 866 feet above the ground. The ride propels passengers headfirst, 27 feet over the edge of the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower. After being shot over the edge, you’ll dangle weightlessly above the Las Vegas Strip before being pulled back and propelled over again for more.

If that wasn’t enough, guests can also make an open-air leap from 829 feet above the Strip in SkyJump, which holds a Guinness World Record as the highest commercial decelerator descent facility. You’ll zoom toward the landing pad at speeds topping 40 mph while the crowds cheer you on from below. SkyJumps are available daytime, nighttime and at sunset.

After a day of fun, enjoy a meal at the world famous Top of the World restaurant and experience eating in a rotating dining room.
