Holy Guava Chiffon Pancakes!!!

If you haven’t been to Cinnamon’s Restaurant, you’re missing out! The Kailua restaurant has been serving up delicious homemade dishes since 1985 and continues to grow in popularity among locals and visitors. HI Now host Jobeth Devera is back at the mom and pop restaurant to get a taste of some of its most popular dishes.
Cinnamon’s started out as “Kailua’s Best Kept Secret,” serving humble food in generous portions with genuine smiles and aloha. Whether you’re looking for something sweet or savory, Cinnamon’s offers a variety of local favorites including its Guava Chiffon Pancakes, Kalua Pig Eggs Benedict, MoeMoe Moco, and Kal-Bi Ribs.
While the restaurant’s Guava Chiffon Pancakes were a chef creation that became a guest favorite, Cinnamon’s also offers a monthly pancake special based on guest demand. Guests will request their favorite pancake flavor and the staff will get it on the menu! The next one in the works? A Pistachio Pancake. This special ran during St. Patricks Day, but will be incorporated into the restaurant’s menu as a new item soon.
Breakfast isn’t complete without coffee, and the restaurant works with a local company to make its own Cinnamon’s blend, which is 25 percent Kona, 25 percent Kauai Island blend and 50 percent Colombian. While the Cinnamon’s blend is served at the restaurant, it also offers two other blends for purchase: Flavored Hazelnut (25 percent Kona, 25 percent Kauai Island blend, 50 percent Colombian), and 100 percent Kona Coffee. Doug Tolentino creates the artwork for all of the Cinnamon’s coffee bags.
Cinnamon’s is open daily from 7 a.m. – 2 p.m., with breakfast available all day. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. except on Sundays and holidays. The restaurant also has another location in Waikiki at the Ilikai Hotel.
