Operating tours for over 40 years

Sponsored by Kauai Visitors Bureau

Princeville Ranch stands alone as one of the most exclusive and pristine adventure playgrounds in the state of Hawaii. It’s a rare mix of world class eco-adventures with a special touch of aloha – Kauai style! HI Now host Jobeth Devera is checking out what the ranch has to offer.

A visit to the ranch is for the adventurer at heart! Experience ziplining, horseback riding, off-road excursions, waterfall hikes, jungle kayaking, and many thrilling combinations.

Princeville is located on the north shore of Kauai, making it a special place waiting to entice visitors and locals alike. The ranch was established in 1831 when 100 head of cattle were brought to the island. Steeped with history, the Carswell family has been operating tours on the ranch for over 40 years. It started with horseback tours and has steadily grown to include multiple eco-adventures and even events. It is still a family owned and operated business that takes pride in being stewards of the land.

When it comes to horseback tours, the ranch’s most popular is the Waterfall Picnic Ride, which includes a scenic ride across the ranch lands and a private trail that leads to an 80-foot waterfall. From there, guests hike into the waterfall swim hole and have a tasty picnic lunch. After enjoying the swim hole, guests cross the stream on the way back to the horses for a relaxed ride back to the stables.

Princeville Ranch also offers a unique Ride and Glide combo which combines horseback riding and zipling into one tour, as well as private horseback tours that are customizable. The ranch’s main zipline course has nine unique ziplines that end with the epic 1,200 ft. King Kong zipline where you can race your friends and family, side by side, to the finish.
