Caring for feathered, furry, or scaly pets
Sponsored by Feather & Fur Animal Hospital
Whether it’s a furry family member or a feathered one, Feather & Fur is Hawaii’s only 24-hour small pet and exotic animal hospital. HI Now host Kanoe Gibson is on the windward side to see how it’s able to give pets the best care possible.
At Feather & Fur Animal Hospital, veterinarians are on site all day, every day to care for your pet. Its doctors and staff provide the best medical, surgical, dental and emergency veterinary services to address each pet’s specific health needs and is happy to schedule appointments and accept walk-in patients.
Feathered, furry, or scaly, Feather & Fur Animal Hospital takes care of pets at all life stages, from birth through its senior years. The animal hospital covers everything from routine care to major surgeries and critical care of serious illnesses. With the common goal being the wellness of its patients, Feather & Fur strives to treat each pet and their families as one big ohana.
The animal hospital is family-run and is the only employee owned animal hospital in the state and one of a few in the country. Located in the Aikahi Park Shopping Center in Kailua, it has been serving pets and their owners for more than twenty years.
It’s also the only hospital on Oahu that takes in and cares for all the native birds. Feather & Fur does this through a close partnership with the Hawaii Wildlife Center. Additionally, injured birds that need major surgery for things like broken wings or legs, often caused by interaction with man-made encroachment on their habitat, will be flown in from the other islands for the procedure and then taken to the wildlife center for rehab.
Feather & Fur is open 24 hours a day, 365 days year for all your pet’s veterinary medical needs. Walk-in patients are always welcome, but you can also call 808-254-1548 to schedule an appointment.
