Experience turn-of-the-century style charm at Maui’s The Plantation Inn

Boutique bed and breakfast is one of Maui's best kept secrets

Sponsored by The Plantation Inn

If you’re looking for a luxurious, yet quiet, vacation spot on Maui that takes you back to the plantation era, then The Plantation Inn should be your next stop. Director of Sales and Marketing John White says the boutique bed and breakfast is one of Maui’s best kept secrets. He sat down with HI Now host Jobeth Devera to talk about this gem’s history and what sets The Plantation Inn apart from others!

The Plantation Inn was built during the height of Maui’s hotel boom and designed to look like a 19th century building. The 18-room hotel is in the heart of historic Lahaina Town just steps from the ocean. The owners redesigned the property with rich, brown wood, and pale walls with natural fibers and textures, recreating the cozy style of plantation homes with an antique charm. Visitors will experience an old-world feel and be treated to services and amenities of a contemporary bed and breakfast.

Guests can take advantage of the small outdoor pool and dine at the on-site restaurant, Gerard’s, which is considered one of Maui’s best French eateries. Downtown Lahaina is a five-minute walk from the property and for those ocean lovers, popular Kaanapali Beach is just a 10-minute drive.

About The Plantation Inn:
The Plantation Inn is Maui’s premier boutique bed and breakfast, and is the sister property of Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Less than two blocks from the Pacific Ocean in the historic district of Lahaina, the Inn is complete with plantation style d├ęcor and modern amenities that provide a quiet, private, and luxurious setting with an emphasis on personalized attention. The Plantation Inn is also home to Gerard’s Restaurant, a Forbes 4-Star French restaurant offering contemporary island French cuisine.
