HI now host Rachel Pacarro is joined in studio with the Honolulu International Film Festival to learn more about the 41st annual festival!
Sponsored by Hawaii International Film Festival
The 41st Annual Hawaii International Film Festival is in full swing! HIFF is excited to present all of their incredible films in person at Kahala Theatres. This weekend is their closing weekend in Honolulu, so be sure to head down and check it out! The films show this week are part of HIFF’s New American’s Perspective Program with the Vilcek Foundation.
Enjoy a wide selection of movies in the newly renovated theatre with all new food menu, seating, sound systems, and screen projectors!
After closing week, HIFF will be hosting their Film for Thought program presented by the Hawai’i Council for the Humanities. Here, viewers can engage with online panels and speak with scholars and thought leaders about environmental issues and the films shown!
To wrap up the festival, HIFF will have a new Media virtual reality exhibit on November 19 at Boxjelly with an artist talk with Sutu and Juliana Loh. VR and XR experiences will be free to the public on Nov 20 and 21st at Sandbox. Register on hiff.org to participate. There are also AR and 360 web projects viewable online at hiff.org through the 28th!
