Join the fun at Bishop Museum on February 29!
If you like trying local brews, the CRAFT Beer Festival is coming up on Saturday, February 29, 2020. It’s a fun event at Bishop Museum featuring the state’s top breweries. HI Now hosts Jobeth Devera and Kanoe Gibson are in the kitchen with Cindy Goldstein, executive director of the Hawaiian Craft Brewers Guild, to get a taste of some of the beers that will be at the event.
CRAFT is a festival sponsored by the Hawaiian Craft Brewers Guild (HCBG) featuring Hawaii’s craft beer breweries that make 100 percent of their beer in Hawaii. CRAFT will offer many special brews and a wide range of beer styles made just for the festival by member breweries of the Hawaiian Craft Brewers Guild. CRAFT is the beer festival with something for everyone to enjoy, even designated drivers.
CRAFT will showcase Hawaii’s independent breweries creating a wide and expanding assortment of excellent craft beers. Head brewers and craft brewery reps from across the state will be on-hand to discuss their craft, answer questions and to take some pictures with Hawaii’s beer fans.
“There will be something for everyone to enjoy — from lighter beers to dark brews, hoppy brews for the hop heads, and ciders for something different,” says Goldstein.
Each attendee will receive a complimentary beer tasting glass upon entering the event. VIP tickets are $60, and those guests get to enter the event one hour earlier at 5 p.m. General Admission tickets are $45 and entry starts at 6 p.m. Tickets for designated drivers are $10. The festival is a 21 and over event.
The HCBG does not want anyone to drink alcohol and drive and encourages the use of designated drivers, taxis and ride share services, or arranging a ride home ahead of time.
