It was a dream for the owners of Paws University to have a top notch facility for dogs to enjoy while boarding, and with the help from Central Pacific Bank, they were able to turn that dream into a reality.

Paws University is a pet day care, pet boarding and pet training facility in West Hawaii. The entire campus was created around the needs of animals. It has a seven-acre campus designed for dogs to have lots of room to play and interact. With the help of Central Pacific Bank, and some inspiration from national dog boarding facilities, Paws University was able to make major improvements to the dog’s boarding and dog care environment and turn its dream facility into a reality.

“With CPB’s partnership, we were able to add unique features to our facility, such as a water park and K9 grass throughout our facility,” Daniels says. “The K9 grass is especially important, to keep our dogs healthy and comfortable.”

Allen Daniels says his greatest joy in owning the business is witnessing firsthand the anticipation and elation of the dogs that attend day care and boarding. “My wife Lana and I have committed ourselves to this business, and it brings so much joy to the both of us to see how happy the animals are and how delighted the owners are as well!” he says.

Daniels says Central Pacific Bank went above and beyond. “We know we can always count on CPB and Alan as our main point of contact,” he says. Alan Pak is the assistant vice president and senior business banking officer at Central Pacific Bank’s Kailua-Kona branch. “We love working with Alan. He’s constantly thinking of ways for us to grow our business and reach our goals,” says Daniels.

Central Pacific Bank is committed to small businesses in Hawaii, and Paws University is just one shining example. “I’m proud to work with Allen and Lana, and of course these furry friends!” Pak says. “We’re thankful for the relationship that we’ve developed with Paws over the years. It means so much to us that we’ve been able to help Paws grow and hit different goals.”
