Celebrate Girls’ Day with mochi truffles from Choco le’a

Get a taste of artisan dark chocolate truffles handcrafted in Manoa

With Girls’ Day celebrated on March 3, many Hawaii families will be celebrating with mochi. However, Choco le’a is putting its own spin on the traditional treat with special mochi truffles! HI Now host Kanoe Gibson is with Erin Uehara, owner of the artisan Manoa chocolate shop, to get a taste of the special offering.

Choco le’a is accepting pre-orders for its sell-out, fresh mochi truffles ahead of Girls’ Day. Celebrate the girls in your life and place your order for pick up between through March 3, 2020.

Choco le’a is a local gourmet chocolate company specializing in dark chocolate truffles with a mission to “Bring peace to our world, one chocolate at a time.” All of its dark chocolate truffles and treats are hand crafted and made fresh with a blend of the finest European and Hawaiian chocolate in Manoa, right next to its shop in Manoa valley. Choco le’a was opened in 2014 where you can find many gift options, custom party favors, coffee pairings and hands-on chocolate workshops.

When you visit the shop, you can create your own custom box of chocolates, select from its popular Hawaii-exclusive gift sets, or place a custom order for party favors or corporate gifts. The Caramel with Hawaiian Sea Salt is one of its most popular flavors with a perfect balance of salty and sweet. There’s also the Lilikoi, a passion fruit puree made on Kauai, which makes for another popular pick.

Some of Choco le’a’s chocolates can be found under private label at the Moana Surfrider Hotel Spa in Waikiki, Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort on Maui, Four Seasons Hualalai on the Big Island and more.

Chocolea is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is closed on Sundays.
