It’s important for our kupuna to get the nutrition they need. That’s why meals are a top priority at the Arcadia Family of Companies, where its dining team works with experienced chefs in order to provide a healthy and delicious dining experience.
Often times, food is one of the main factors in selecting a community, and residents at the Arcadia Family of Companies have several options to choose from, whether its food from a buffet line or from standard menu items. Meal delivery and take-out requests are also offered to residents living in apartments.
Residents are served three meals daily and all of the food is prepared in-house by Arcadia’s dining teams. Chef Ryan Nomura oversees Arcadia and Chef Kyle Yonashiro manages the 15 Craigside team. If a resident requires a special diet, dietitians work closely with the resident and their physician.
Both 15 Craigside and Arcadia have a dining committee of residents, who work with the chefs to provide feedback and recommendations on the menu. The chefs also share information with the dining committee on upcoming events and changes to the menu.
Residents are welcomed to invite family and friends to dine with them in the dining room. Most holidays are celebrated with special menus such as prime rib and crab for Mother’s Day and Hawaiian food during their Kamehameha Day luau.
The Arcadia Family of Companies even offers private parties and catering so that residents can hold sit-down dinners, cocktail parties, buffets, and even light refreshments.
