Foodland honors founders and supports Hawaii’s non-profits

Sponsored by Foodland

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Hawaii’s largest locally owned and operated grocery retailer, Foodland Super Market, is celebrating its milestone 75th birthday statewide this month through the end of the year with delicious new food offerings, new products, exclusive art from local artists, and a community giving program for Hawaii nonprofits.

In June, July and August, Foodland’s Together We Give, Honoring Our Founders’ Love for Hawai’i program will help support six Hawai’i nonprofits — two each month — that impact the communities Foodland serves and make a difference in ways that were important to the company’s founders. Customers can help by donating up to $249 or 250 Maika’i points (the equivalent of a $5 donation) to the organization of their choice for that month. They can also donate coins or round out the amount of their grocery purchases. Foodland will match a portion of each gift.
