Southwest Airlines celebrates 5 years of serving Hawaii

Sponsored by Southwest Airlines

HONOLULU (HI Now) - Since its first service to Hawaii in 2019, Southwest has grown to serve five airports in the Aloha State, and to link the Hawaiian Islands to the mainland with nonstop service through eight gateway airports: Long Beach, California; Oakland, California; Sacramento, San Jose, California; Los Angeles (LAX); San Diego; Las Vegas; and Phoenix. Today, Southwest offers 90 departures a day, including 60 daily flights within the Islands.

HI Now host Kainoa Carlson is at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in the Southwest Airlines terminal to catch up with Southwest Airlines officials on what five years of service in Hawaii means to them.
