HONOLULU (HI Now) - In the custom of YWCA Oahu’s LeaderLuncheon, which for more than four decades has been one of the premier events celebrating the accomplishments of local women leaders, four outstanding women have been selected as this year’s 45th Annual LeaderLuncheon honorees. YWCA O’ahu congratulates these exemplary women for their commitment to service, and for their professional achievements inspiring women and girls to succeed:
• Ann Teranishi, President & CEO, American Savings Bank
• Corianne Lau, Partner, Dentons US LLP
• Jennifer Nakayama, President & Executive Director, Waikiki Business Improvement District Association
• Tracy Tonaki, City Manager, D.R. Horton
Shining a spotlight on the longstanding legacy of YWCA Oahu’s mission, “eliminating racism, empowering women,” LeaderLuncheon began in 1977 as one of the first major local events in the state dedicated to the powerful contributions of women.
YWCA O’ahu has honored women from a diverse cross-section of professional fields. To date, LeaderLuncheon counts 199 local women honorees throughout its 45 years, including the four selected in 2022. A full list of LeaderLuncheon honorees from 1977-2021 can be found at https://www.ywcaoahu.org/leaderluncheon-academy!
LeaderLuncheon is YWCA Oahu’s traditional spring fundraiser, which brings the community together each year to support the nonprofit’s programs for women from all backgrounds. More details will be announced on the YWCA O’ahu website. The 45th Annual LeaderLuncheon will be at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel on Thursday, June 16, 2022, 12 noon-1:30 p.m.
