Friends of Hawaii Charities and the 2022 Sony Open work to help Hawaii’s community

HONOLULU (HI Now) - In November 2021, Sony announced it has extended its title sponsorship agreement of the tournament for another four years through 2026. Sony has sponsored the event since 1999 and since then, the tournament has raised and distributed nearly $22 million to Hawaii charities through Friends of Hawaii Charities!

Following the first ever spectator-less event in 2021, the 2022 Sony Open in Hawaii will welcome back spectators to Waialae while following local government guidelines. Attendees will need to show proof of vaccination or proof of negative COVID test within 48 hours. Details are on SonyOpeninHawaii.com or the City and County of Honolulu Safe Oahu websites. Attendees will need to adhere to the PGA TOUR admission guidelines and bag policy as there will not be any bag check at the tournament.
