Tips and tricks on how to build a beautiful wreath from the Board of Water Supply

Sponsored by Board of Water Supply

HONOLULU (HI Now) - The preciousness of water and our water supply is top of mind for everyone these days. The Board of Water Supply promotes the importance of water conservation by providing practical ways to save water throughout the year. This includes growing plants that don’t require a lot of water. These are called xeric plants.

The Board of Water Supply has a xeriscape garden in Halawa and, together with the Friends of Halawa Xeriscape Garden, they hold a number of workshops that focus on water conservation in the landscape. BWS teaches gardening techniques and share about plants that do best with less water. One of their most popular arts and craft workshops is holiday wreath-making using xeric plants for longer-lasting wreaths.
