Waikiki is welcoming back both kama’āina and visitors! RumFire at the Sheraton Waikiki is one of the local favorites that’s open once again, ready to serve up some delicious food. HI Now host Kanoe Gibson stopped by to get a taste of the restaurant’s new menu.
Since the hotel reopened in mid-November, RumFire has been open 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. every day with a one-hour break between breakfast and lunch at 10:30 a.m. The restaurant has also just recently launched some new specialty drinks and its new Happy Hour menu. No matter when you decide to dine, RumFire features spectacular views of Waikiki and Diamond Head. Enjoy tantalizingly creative dishes and sip on a beverage as you watch the sunset at the open-air, oceanfront restaurant.
For Christmas Day this year, RumFire is featuring a 24-hour Hawaiian salted, roasted prime rib with corn potato puree, creamy horseradish and au jus; and dessert is a chocolate crunch bar with lavender cream, and 100-year-old grand marnier scented strawberry.
For New Year’s Eve, RumFire will be featuring a mango barbecue beef brisket with garlic parmesan cheese grilled corn, heart-of-palm coleslaw and toasted French bread. For dessert, there will be a wild berry cheese cake with candy pistachio, all with a blueberry port wine reduction.
Sheraton Waikiki is the perfect place for kama’āina. The hotel’s kama’āina rates start at $199, which comes with complimentary self-parking, early check-in and late check-out when available. And of course its pools are family favorites! Book online at sheratonwaikiki.com, and be sure to use code “Z43” to get the kama’āina rates while checking out.
RumFire also offers free validated self-parking for four hours at Sheraton Waikiki with a minimum $25 purchase.
