Sponsored by Hawaii Gas

Beer Lab has always made good beer, but now it’s partnering with local chefs to bring you ono food at its new restaurant concept in Pearlridge. HI Now host Kanoe Gibson went to check out some of the specialties on the menu.

Beer Lab Pearlridge Restaurant is located just 500 ft. from Beer Lab’s Pearlridge Beer Garden in Pearlridge Mall, Uptown at the former Applebee’s. Beer Lab HI Big was conceptualized during the COVID-19 pandemic with the vision to bring local businesses together in a symbiotic relationship. While Beer Lab has always strived to create the best beers, the brewery was looking to expand to find chef who share the same vision of food.

“These chefs are from some of the island’s favorite food trucks, and we are excited to feature them at our kitchen,” says Founder Nicolas Wong.

Beer Lab HI Kitchen will be featuring a rotating array of independent local chefs creating new and exciting dishes to pair with Beer Lab’s ever changing beer menu. This new location will, of course, also have beers on tap and growlers and crowlers for beer to-go.

“We have pivoted to beer options to go and weekly beer releases to keep in touch with our community,” Wong says. “We would like this new location to be another place that people can come, and enjoy safely.”

Beer Lab is a local beer brewery that’s has been around for 5 years, since 2015. Its first location was in Moilili and it has since expanded to three other locations on Oahu. The brewery is known for coming out with crazy beers and experimenting with new ingredients and flavors. Having grown up in Hawaii, the founders are always trying to find ways to involve and collaborate with other local businesses and the community.
