Inspired by the traditions of Italian Cuisine, Quiora strives to create soul warming meals with handmade pasta, house butchered meats, local fish and produce. HI Now host Kainoa Carlson went to check out some of the thoughtful Italian dishes on the menu.
The spacious open-air dining room, set eight floors above the vibrant streets of Waikiki and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, sets the perfect ambiance for an intimate date night or celebratory dinner with friends and family. Time and love are key elements to the ‘from scratch’ approach to cooking that the restaurant hopes its guests feel when dining in. Its focus on local partnerships, such as Hirabara Farms and Bread Shop, allows the chefs there to create their own take on Italian tradition with a sense of place on this beautiful island we call home.
Quiora recently launched a monthly Fresh Pasta Tasting Dinner series that gives guests an inside peek into the menu creation process, while also allowing them the flexibility of dining at a variety of seating times throughout the night in order to social distance. The restaurant’s entire team of culinarians are always looking for ways to push the envelope, and these dinners allow them that chance to share something special with guests.
July featured dinner had such an amazing response that four of the five-courses ended up on the restaurant’s standard dinner menu in one form or another. Seats can be reserved by calling (808) 729-9757 or emailing the restaurant at firstname.lastname@example.org directly. Also, if guests pre-order their wine pairings ahead of time, Quiora is offering a 10 percent discount on the pairings.
Quiora offers takeout Wednesday through Sunday from 5:30 – 9:00 p.m. for its entire dinner menu. You can even get fresh pasta kits with jarred sauces and dips to-go through the Quiora Market. These pasta kits are handmade and include your selected sauce, which could be the cherry tomato braise, whey braised pork, or classic tomato sauce, with your choice of handmade noodles from pappardelle, spaghetti, classic tagliatelle or squid ink tagliatelle. These pasta kits go perfectly with the restaurant’s olive tapenade and a side of Naan bread!
